Monoclonal antibodies against choline kinase alpha and the use thereof in analytical techniques, cancer diagnosis and drug preparation. Monoclonal antibodies AD1, AD2, AD3, AD4, AD5, AD6, AD7, AD8, AD9, AD10, AD11, AD12, AD13 and AD14 are highly specific and recognise the human choline kinase alpha protein (ChoKα) with a high sensitivity. This allows for them to be used in the detection and/or quantification of this protein in any type of sample, including biological samples. In particular, it allows for the development of in vitro methods for the diagnosis of cancer, the prognosis and/or follow-up of its evolution or the evaluation of anti-cancer therapies wherein the expression level of ChoKα is determined by means of one or more of the monoclonal antibodies of the invention or of kits that comprise them. Moreover, AD3, AD8 and AD13, which interfere with ChoKα's choline kinase activity, may be used in the preparation of anti-cancer drugs. |
