abstract Disclosed is a hand strap (5) for a pole, most preferably for a ski pole, Nordic walking pole, cross-country skiing pole, or hiking stick, comprising an insertion hole (11) for the hand, a first outlet (8) for the back of the hand, and a second outlet (6) for the thumb. The hand strap (5) is at least indirectly fastened to a pole grip (2) by means of a strip (34) that is guided between the thumb and the other fingers. The hand strap (5) is provided with a variably attachable first fastening device (7, 9) in the area located between the insertion hole (11) for the hand and the first outlet (8) for the back of the hand. The inventive hand strap is characterized in that the same is designed in a variable manner also in the area (15) located between the insertion hole (11) and the second outlet (6) for the thumb.
