Hgf precursor protein mutant and activated form thereof |
abstract |
Disclosed is an HGF precursor protein mutant which has an HGF peptide structure composed of: an HGF α-chain region or a polypeptide region having the deletion of 1 to 20 amino acid residues from the C-terminus in the HGF α-chain; an HGF β-chain region or a polypeptide region having the deletion of 1 to 20 amino acid residues from the N-terminus in the HGF β-chain; and a peptide chain X inserted between the above-mentioned two regions, wherein the peptide chain X has an amino acid sequence composed of at least two amino acid residues cleavable by a protease reaction or a chemical reaction. When the HGF precursor protein mutant is cleaved at at least one site on the peptide chain X, a protein produced by the cleavage shows an HGF activity. |
