abstract |
A molded article for fire protection applications such as a fire protection board has a content of about 35% of natural zeolite, this zeolite proportion has a particle size between 0.01 mm and 0.2 mm for the most part. The carrier material is vermiculite in a proportion of about 40% and a particle size of about 1mm to 2mm, with added phosphoric acid in a proportion of about 24% as a binder and a share of 1% of a hydrophobing agent. By choosing the natural zeolite, its share and especially the choice of particle size can be made mechanically strong enough and with respect to the fire protection properties very good fire protection board. |
