abstract |
A process for the production of moldings by the inflation method which is improved in the productivity in molding and can give moldings not impaired in the characteristics inherent in polyethylene, wherein moldings are produced by inflation -molding a mixture comprising polyethylene having a density of 900 to 980 (kg/m3) and polyethylene wax having a density of 890 to 980 (kg/m3) and a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of 500 to 4,000 in terms of polyethylene as determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and satisfying the relationship (I): B < 0.0075 × K ... (I) wherein B is the content (% by weight) in the polyethylene wax of components having molecular weights of 20,000 or above in terms of polyethylene as determined by gel permeation chromatography; and K is the melt viscosity (mPa·s) of the polyethylene wax at 140°C. |
