abstract An oximeter for the spectrophotometric in vitro determination of hemoglobin derivatives in a sample, preferably a hemolyzed blood sample, with a single measuring light source (1) emitting a measuring radiation, with a sample chamber (5), for example a measuring cuvette for receiving the sample and a detection device ( 9.10). The measuring light source (1) is a polychromatic LED which emits measuring radiation at least in a spectral range B for determining the hemoglobin derivatives, in which the hemoglobin derivatives have a significant absorption and emits measuring radiation at least in a further spectral range A for detecting at least one further analyte, in which the at least one further analyte has a significant absorption.
