A process for the preparation of terminally ethylenically unsatureated isopolyprenols characterized in that a carbonyl compound is reacted with ethine in the presence of ammonia and low amounts of an alkaline metal hydroxide and, if desired, the terminally acetylenically unsaturated isopolyprenol obtained is partially hydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst suitable for selective hydrogenation. |
