abstract The present invention relates to an apparatus for use in medical imaging and a medical imaging method. The apparatus comprises nuclear medicine imaging means including detector means for detecting radiation as emitted upon decay of a radiopharmaceutical injected into a living object's body as well as means for generating a nuclear medicine image of said living object based on the detected radiation. The apparatus further comprises ultrasonography imaging means for also generating an ultrasonography image of the same living object.
