Oxidation stable carboxylic acid esters and their use |
abstract |
Carboxylic esters containing trimethylolpropane as the alcohol component and a mixture of (i) linear saturated fatty acids having 8 to 18 carbon atoms and (ii) linear mono- or polyunsaturated fatty acids having 12 to 22 carbon atoms as the acid component, wherein the molar ratio ( i): (ii) in the range of 3: 1 to 1: 3 show good stability to oxidation and are suitable as base oils for hydraulic oils. |
