abstract The invention relates to a polymer electrolyte, which is for example part of an electrochemical reference electrode and can be used in potentiometric and amperometric sensors. The polymer electrolyte comprises a hydrogel that is stable over a wide pH range and resistant to organic solvents. In addition, this hydrogel is stable at elevated temperatures up to 200 ° C. This temperature stability is achieved by polymerizing siloxanes, silicates or silicic acid with methacrylates to hybrid materials. A high proportion of crosslinker and the proportion of organosilicate in nanoscale form ensures low vapor pressure and high thermal stability of these gels.
