| abstract | The present invention concerns apparatuses and methods for the reprocessing of devices such as medical equipment, in particular endoscopes. In one aspect, the invention is an endoscope reprocessing apparatus comprising a reprocessing chamber, a mounting in the reprocessing chamber to which an endoscope carrier is attached or removably attachable, a first reprocessing means arranged on or in an internal surface of the reprocessing chamber, and a reprocessing fluid source in fluid communication with the first reprocessing means. The reprocessor comprises further a rotating endoscope support/carrier, whereby the endoscope might be in a cartridge/cassette. The device has spray nozzles for external cleaning, a connector for internal cleaning, a rotary shaft for driving the carrier/cartridge, doors and receptacles for processing and drained fluids, multi-way valves. |
