abstract The invention relates to a bonded foam, comprising foam particles of at least one reticulated polyurethane foam which has an average cell size of at least 2 mm, and to a method for producing this foam. Without having to use a water repellent additive, the foam has a water uptake, determined at 25°C in accordance with the French standard UEAtc H.1 MOD1, of maximum 250 g/m², and has furthermore a very good drying capacity, so that it is well suited for floor underlay applications. These advantages properties can be achieved at densities lower than 120 kg/m3 whilst still retaining the required mechanical properties.
