titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of (R or S)-2-Alkyl-3-heterocyclyl-1-propanols |
abstract | Compounds of the formula 1, wherein R ' 1 , R' 2 , R ' 3 and Het have the meanings given in the description are obtainable in high yields by a stereoselective addition of R' 3 -substituierten propionic acid to R ' 1 - and R' 2 -substituierte unsaturated, bicyclic Heterocyclylaldehyde the formula R-CHO to corresponding 3-R-3-hydroxy-2-R ' 3 -propionsäureestern. Conversion of the OH group into a leaving group, followed by regioselective elimination to 3-R-2-R ' 3 -propenoic acid esters, followed by 1) saponification to the corresponding 3-R-2-R ' 3 -propenoic acids, their enantioselective hydrogenation to corresponding chiral 3-R-2-R' 3 -propenoic acids and their reduction, or 2) the saponification to the corresponding 3-R-2-R ' 3 -propenoic acids, their reduction to corresponding 3-R-2-R' 3 -allyl alcohols and their enantioselective hydrogenation, or 3) the reduction to corresponding 3-R-2-R ' 3 -allyl alcohols and their enantioselective hydrogenation, wherein R is for and the enantioselective hydrogenations are carried out with metal complexes having as ligands ferrocene-1,1'-diphosphines which have a ferrocene-substituted, secondary phosphine group in the 1-position and a secondary phosphine group in the 1 'position. |
