The invention relates to a method for increasing the efficiency of surfactants, extending the temperature window, and suppressing lamellar mesophases in microemulsion by means of additives, as well as a microemulsion. According to the invention, additives comprising at least one water-soluble and a hydrophobic unit are added to the microemulsions. The ratio of the mean molecular weight between the water-soluble units and the hydrophobic units ranges from 2 to 1000, the additives representing polymers that are composed of at least one water-soluble unit which is provided with at least one hydrophobic unit at one end of the chain and/or is provided with a hydrophobic unit as a non-terminal substituent and/or is provided with at least one hydrophobic unit incorporated between the water-soluble units of the polymer. |
