titleOfInvention | Method for measuring the permeation of a substance through a barrier |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for measuring the permeation of at least one substance contained in a solvent through a permeation barrier and/or determining parameters influencing said permeation, especially the permeability of the barrier for the at least one substance, with the aid of at least one luminescent probe. According to the inventive method, the at least one substance is provided on one side of the permeation barrier, the permeation barrier is incubated with the at least one substance contained in the solvent, and luminescence signals of the probe, which are modulated in accordance with the respective concentration of the substance, are measured on at least one side of the permeation barrier, the excitation spectrum and/or the emission spectrum of the at least one probe overlapping with the absorption spectrum of the at least one substance. Also disclosed is a kit to be used in said method. |
