titleOfInvention Method and device for reducing acetaldehyde content in polyester granulate
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a low acetaldehyde-containing granulate exhibiting improved processing properties from a highly viscous polyester melt, consisting in dividing the jet of said viscous polyester melt under water at a high as possible temperature, in separating accompanying water from a granulate which is cooled as little as possible, in transferring the thus obtained water-poor granulate, after separating from water, directly to a dealdehydisation container and in treating it with a scavenging air flow. A device for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
