titleOfInvention Method for determining the range of radiation
abstract A method for determining the range of radiation, in particular particle radiation, comprises the following features: A target volume (6) to be irradiated is subdivided into a plurality of voxels (V, V1, V2, V3), - radiation-attenuating properties (HU) attributable to individual voxels (V, V1, V2, V3) are determined - from the radiation-weakening properties (HU) a range information (WEPL) is derived, if the range information (WEPL) of a first voxel (V1) differs from the range information (WEPL) of two adjacent voxels (V2, V3) in different ways, the range information (WEPL) of the first voxel (V1) is changed.
