titleOfInvention | Process for production of coagulated latex particles |
abstract | The invention aims at providing a novel granulation process by which objective coagulated latex particles can be recovered in an extremely high yield without lowering the qualities inherent in the polymer constituting the latex while inhibiting secondary agglomeration even at temperatures higher than the softening point of the polymer. A process for the production of coagulated latex particles which comprises spraying or dropping a polymer latex into a gas phase containing an inorganic salt and/or an acid and a dispersant in the form of fumes and dropping or throwing the polymer latex droplets into an aqueous phase containing a dispersant and which can attain the coagulation of a polymer latex without lowering the qualities inherent in the polymer while inhibiting secondary agglomeration over a wide temperature range. |
