The invention relates to processes for the reduction of the fibre content in fibre-containing oilseeds. The reduction in fibre is achieved by employing electrostatic separation and/or sieving-wind sifting separation. The invention also relates to protein- and fibre-enriched fractions of oilseeds obtained according to the processes of the invention, and the use of these fractions in animal feed and food, in particle boards/fibre panels, in the production of protein concentrates and/or isolates and as fuel. |
