abstract |
Disclosed is a method for selecting a transformant cell with good efficiency using a mutant ALS gene which is excellent in specificity to a PC herbicide. The method comprises the steps of transforming a host cell with a recombinant vector having a target gene and a gene encoding a mutant acetolactate synthase which has a mutation by the substitution of glycine corresponding to the residue at position 95 in the amino acid sequence for rice wild-type acetolactate synthase by alanine to produce a transformant cell and culturing the transformant cell in the presence of a pyrimidinylcarboxy herbicide, the gene encoding the mutant acetolactate synthase being used as a selection marker. |
