According to this method: the image (P) of the central part of the fragment is identified; a convex contour (C) of this fragment is produced, enveloping the ends (4 ' 1 - 4' 5 ) of the filiform portions of the fragment and, possibly, certain vertices (2 ' 1 -2' 3 ) of the central body; and the one or each characteristic (L, L / I ) of the fragment size is determined from at least the image of the convex contour (C). |
