abstract |
The device comprises means (50) for measuring and analyzing a parameter representative of the metabolic needs of the patient such as minute ventilation (MV) and a physical parameter such as acceleration (G). It comprises means for diagnosing heart failure, which evaluate a clinical status index of the patient by applying a battery of state criteria (S1; S2). It further comprises means (56) for measuring and analyzing a hemodynamic parameter such as endo-cardiac acceleration (PEA) or intracardiac impedance, representative of myocardial contractility. These means evaluate an index of cardiac contractility by applying a set of contractility criteria (S'1;S'2). Cross-analysis means (60) deliver a composite preventive alert signal based on the respective values taken by the clinical status and cardiac contractility indexes. This signal can take different levels depending on the set of criteria that have or have not triggered an alert regarding the clinical condition or cardiac contractility. |
