titleOfInvention Vacuum therapy device
abstract The invention relates to a therapeutic device (1) for promotion of healing of a wound (22), comprising a porous pad (21) permeable to liquids for application on the wound (22), a dressing (23) for covering the wound (22) and to provide an essentially airtight seal around the wound (22), a drain line (20), connecting the pad (21) to a suction pump (5), such that suction can be applied to the wound (22) in order to withdraw the fluids therefrom, whereby the line (20) is connected to the suction pump (5) via a canister (4) for the collection of the fluids sucked off from the wound (22), a connector (31) for connecting the pad (21) to the drain line (20), means (30, 15, 16, 32) for determination of the wound pressure (p3) in the skin region (24) essentially comprising and enclosing the wound (22) and a regulation unit (6), for regulation of the wound pressure.
