To provide an optical information recording medium allowing for high-density recording and reproduction of information by the irradiation with laser light of 440 nm or less and having excellent recording and reproducing characteristics (in particular, sensitivity and degree of modulation). n An optical recording medium comprising a substrate having thereon a recording layer capable of recording information by the irradiation with laser light of 440 nm or less, wherein the recording layer comprises at least one platinum porphyrin represented by the following formula (I):n nwherein R 11 to R 18 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent. |
