The present invention provides a friction transmission belt in which slip noise caused at the time when a belt drive portion is immersed in water is suppressed and which has excellent bending fatigue strength and can be produced by simple working steps. n A friction transmission belt nwhich contains a compressed rubber layer containing an ethylene-α-olefin elastomer, short fibers, and silica and having a monolayer structure. |
