A therapeutic agent for sensory abnormality represented by the following general formula (1): (1) (wherein R1, R2 and R3 each represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and X represents a linear or branched alkylene or alkenylene group having 10 to 28 carbon atoms) is provided. A cyclohexenone long-chain alcohol of the invention improves hyperalgesia or dullness, therefore it is useful as a therapeutic agent for sensory abnormality. Examples of the sensory abnormality that can be prevented or treated according to the invention include chronic intractable pain, psychogenic pain, decreased pain threshold caused by nerve damage, hypoesthesia or hyperesthesia caused by nerve damage or diabetes and the like. |
