abstract | Methods, systems, and computer programs for developing and using predictive models for predicting medical outcomes, evaluating intervention strategies, and simultaneously validating biomarker causality. In one method, clinical data from different sources are obtained for a population of individuals. These clinical data may include different physical and demographic factors relating to individuals and a plurality of different results for these individuals. An entry relating to a search space comprising models associating different combinations of factors and at least one of the results is received. In response to receiving this input, a template search is performed in the search space based on a predictive value of the models relating to the result. The identified models are processed to produce a final model associating one of the combinations of factors to the result. This final model indicates the probability that an individual presenting the factors of the final model will obtain this result. |
