abstract |
The present invention provides isolated polypeptides capable of inhibiting S. mutans genetic competence and S. mutans biofilm formation. The present invention further provides peptide analogs of S. mutans competence stimulating peptides, compositions thereof, and uses thereof for inhibiting biofilm formation in streptococci and for the treatment and prevention of conditions caused by dental plaque associated streptococci. |
