abstract | A substrate for MALDI-TOF MS whereby even a high-molecular weight substance such as a protein or a nucleic acid can be analyzed by mass spectrometry at a high reproducibility and a mass spectrum can be easily obtained; and a mass spectrometry method by MALDI-TOF MS by using the same. This substrate for MALDI-TOF MS has a nanodot region for adhering a test substance thereto the surface of which is made of a material having a high protein or nucleic acid absorptivity. A mass spectrometry method for analyzing a protein or a nucleic acid which comprises using this substrate and performing mass spectrometry by MALDI-TOF MS with the use of the nucleic acid or the protein as a test sample. |
