abstract |
An aqueous ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer dispersion which has excellent long-term storage stability, has excellent film-forming properties even when dried at a low temperature or in a short time or applied thick, and gives a film having high gas barrier performance. The aqueous ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer dispersion comprises (A) an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene content of 15-65 mol% and a degree of saponification of 80 mol% or higher, (B) an ethylene/α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer neutralized with a base, and (C) polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 75-100 mol% and a degree of polymerization of 100-3,500, the amount of the polyvinyl alcohol (C) being 0.5-100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (A). |
