The invention relates to a sample tube for storing and providing nucleic acid-containing samples, a system having a plurality of individually stored in individual receiving cavities of racks (1) and together with these racks (1) transportable sample tubes (2) and providing a plurality of samples containing nucleic acid, and a corresponding use of racks (1) and sample tubes (2). The preferably 96 or 384 receiving cavities (3) of the racks (1), which are preferably provided with an SBS footprint, and the sample tubes (2) are also designed for robotic removal of these sample tubes (2) from these receiving cavities (3). The sample tubes 2 according to the invention are characterized in that they have an inner shoulder (4) for receiving and a clamping body (5) for clamping a single at least one, preferably individual, sample containing DNA sample (6) of a sample carrier wherein the sample carrier is selected from a group comprising FTA paper, filter papers, cellulose membranes and release gels. |
