titleOfInvention Device for detecting rotation of a rotatable element
abstract Arrangement for detecting a rotation of a rotary member (1, 12) comprising an electrically conductive partial area (2, 13, 50, 61) provided on a substantially plane surface of the rotary element (1, 12) a fixed sensor element (6, 9, 59) with a planar excitation electrode (4, 5, 15) and with at least two planar receiver electrodes (8a, 8b, 11a-11d, 16a-16d) adjacent to the excitation electrode (4, 5, 15), which electrodes of the electrically conductive partial surface (2, 13, 50, 61) are spaced from each other and which can be coupled capacitively to the excitation electrode during rotation of the rotary element (1, 12) via the electrically conductive partial surface (2, 13, 50, 61) and - Detection means comprising a voltage means for applying the excitation electrode (4, 5, 15) with a voltage pulse (27) whose voltage (u) is higher than the voltage (V cc ) of the operating voltage of the arrangement providing battery and evaluation means for picking up receiver signals (31, 32, 33, 34) generated by capacitive coupling due to the voltage pulse (27) from at least two receiver electrodes (8a, 8b, 11a-11d, 16a-16d) comprising comparison means for generating one based on the receiver signals (31, 32, 33, 34), the position of the partial surface (2, 13, 50, 61) with respect to the receiver electrodes (8a, 8b, 11a-11d, 16a-16d) indicative signal (35).
