abstract |
An adhesive prophylaxis medical product for the postoperative prevention of adhesions in the body comprises at least one PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) selected from the group consisting of uncrosslinked PVA having a molecular weight of 15,000 to 400,000, cross-linked PVA, and mixtures thereof. The molecular weight of the PVA or of the mixture is chosen such that it can be excreted via the kidney essentially without degradation of the PVA molecules. |
