A cooling fluid composition for cooling a fuel cell, characterized in that it comprises at least one sugar alcohol selected from among erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, inositol, quercitol, palatinit, lactitol, maltitol, sucrose, raffinose, gentianose, melezitose, planteose and stachyose for the purpose of inhibiting the oxidation of the base material thereof. The cooling fluid composition is reduced in the increase of electric conductivity due to the oxidation of the base material even when it is used for a long period of time and can maintain the state of low electroconductivity over a long period of time. |
