titleOfInvention Method and device for minimising rotorcraft take-off and landing noise
abstract A method for minimising rotorcraft take-off and landing noise, comprising a preliminary step of using a reference rotorcraft corresponding to a special type of rotorcraft, performing a series of noise measurements on the airborne rotorcraft (1) using acoustic sensors (C) on said reference rotorcraft, and determining the operating ranges of the reference rotorcraft in which noise is below a maximum noise level. A subsequent step comprises determining the no-wind operating point and the with-wind operating ranges of a special type of rotorcraft on the basis of the operating ranges of the reference rotorcraft.
