titleOfInvention Ergometer suitable for use with magnetic resonance devices
abstract The present invention describes an ergometer which is particularly suitable for the examination of a subject or patient in a magnetic resonance apparatus. It has at least one test device, which is arranged to be substantially movable and at least one pneumatic piston-cylinder arrangement (7). The test device is arranged on the piston (20) or the cylinder (21) and a pneumatic pressurization between piston (20) and cylinder (21) represents a resistance or a force for the operation of the test device by the subject or patient. The resistance or the force for moving the test device, in particular during operation, is controllable and the piston (20) and the cylinder (21) are dimensioned so that at least during operation or the relative movement between them an air cushion forms. The resistance or force for operating the test device is automatically controlled based on measurement signals fed back in the examination of a subject or patient.
