The invention describes a method for investigating the glucose metabolism of a human for disease-relevant and / or disease-related peculiarities, comprising the following steps: measuring the glucose concentration g (ti) to g (t n ) of a body fluid, in particular blood, at times t 1 to t n , which are distributed over a period of at least four hours, preferably at least six hours, determining data points in phase space coordinates from the measured values g (t 1 ) to g (t n ) of the glucose concentration, preparing the data points to highlight disease-relevant and / or disease-specific features of the glucose metabolism of the examined human. The preparation of the data points can be carried out by application in a phase space representation or by the fact that a disturbance parameter is determined from the data points, which correlates with the severity of a disturbance of the glucose metabolism. |
