abstract The inventive method for sequestrating carbon exhausted in atmosphere in the form of CO2 consists in a) concentrating CO2 in a liquid phase, b) electrically reducing said CO2 into a compound, in an aprotic medium, when the carbon passes to a +3 degree of oxydation in the form of an oxalic or formic acid, c) if necessary, in re-extracting said oxalic or formic acid in a liquid phase and in d) in mineralising by reaction with an M element compound, thereby obtaining a stable compound whose C/M atomic ratio is roughly equal to 2/1.
