abstract | A plug system for separating fluids is successively introduced into a passage comprising: an assembly comprising a plurality of plugs, wherein at least one plug comprises an outer body (11) and a detachable inner mandrel (13) attached to the outer body; and wherein the plurality of plugs (10, 20, 30) are releasably attached to each other. Frangible devices, such as shear pins (51) may be provided to keep the inner mandrel in place. A baffle adapter (40) may be installed in the casing string, with an inner bore designated to sealingly engage at least one of the plugs. |
