The present invention relates to a method of classifying an individual comprising analyzing the nucleic acid of a sample taken from said patient for nucleotide polymorphisms in a haplotype block comprising the gene encoding FKBP51 and/or determining the expression level of FKBP51 in said sample. In a preferred embodiment, the invention provides a method of predicting the response to CC. Furthermore, a method of developing an antidepressant drug, and pharmaceutical compositions are provided. |
