abstract Disclosed are a novel fluorine-containing dioxolane compound which can be used as a raw material for a fluorine-containing polymer that is excellent in characteristics such as heat resistance, mechanical strength, transparency and rigidity, and a novel polymer. Specifically, disclosed are a compound represented by the formula (1A) below, a compound represented by the formula (1B) below, and a polymer having a repeating unit wherein these compounds are polymerized. In the formulae, Qf1 represents a single bond, an oxygen atom, a perfluoroalkylene group having 1-5 carbon atoms or a perfluoroalkylene group having 1-5 carbon atoms with an ether oxygen atom inserted in a carbon-carbon bond; and X2 represents a fluorine atom or a group represented by -OR (wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms with an ether oxygen atom inserted in a carbon-carbon bond).
