abstract | Disclosed are methods of diagnosing ovarian endometriosis using an antibody against the TFPI-2 protein. According to the present invention, this protein is detected at higher levels in the serum of subjects suffering from endometriosis as compared to normal control subjects and thus may serve as diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for ovarian endometriosis. In addition to methods of diagnosing ovarian endometriosis, the present invention provides kits for performing the diagnosis. |
