abstract The cooler consists of a disposable plastic container, with or without an outer covering of cardboard, shaped to hold an inner layer (3) of crushed ice or snow that surrounds a can (1) or bottle. The ice or snow layer is formed into a sleeve by inserting the can or bottle by force into it or by using a manual, mechanical or electromechanical tool to make a hole. The cooler consists of a disposable plastic container, with or without an outer covering of cardboard, shaped to hold an inner layer (3) of crushed ice or snow that surrounds a can (1) or bottle. The ice or snow layer is formed into a sleeve by inserting the can or bottle by force into it or by using a manual, mechanical or electromechanical tool to make a hole. In a variant of the design the plastic container can have a plastic-covered wire ring round the top to hold it against the sides of the can or bottle.
