abstract |
A laser light transmitting resin composition for laser welding, which comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin and 0.01 to 3 parts by weight of a titanium oxide having a density of at least 4 g/cm3 and an average particle diameter of 100 nm to 400 nm and exhibits a whitish color such as white, gray or a tint color; and a method for laser welding, which comprises piling a laser light transmitting resin member (1) formed from the above laser light transmitting resin composition on a resin member (2) being at least partly capable of absorbing the laser light and irradiating the laser light (3) onto the resin member (1) to thereby generate heat and weld the members. |
