titleOfInvention Peptide protein translation inhibitor and the use thereof for protein translation control
abstract Peptide (I) that inhibits translation of proteins, contains at most 250 amino acids (aa) and including a sequence at least 85% identical with sequence (S1), is new. Peptide (I) that inhibits translation of proteins, contains at most 250 amino acids (aa) and including a sequence at least 85% identical with sequence (S1), is new Val-Lys-Phe-Ala-Asp-Thr-Gln-Lys-Asp-Lys-Glu-Gln-Lys-Arg-Met-Thr-Gln-Gln-Leu-(Gln) 3-Met-Gln-Gln-Leu-Asn-Ala (S1). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) fusion protein (FP) that inhibits specifically translation of a target polynucleotide (T) comprising (I) fused to an RNA-binding protein (II); (2) nucleic acid (III) that encodes (I); (3) nucleic acid (IIIa) that encodes FP; (4) system for controlling translation of (T) comprising FP or (IIIa); (5) recombinant cloning or expression vectors that contain (III) or (IIIa); (6) prokaryotic or eukaryotic host cells that contain a system of (4), (IIIa) or a vector containing (IIIa); (7) method for in vitro control of translation of (T); and (8) kit for controlling translation of (T) that comprises FP or a vector that contains (IIIa). ACTIVITY : Virucide; Cytostatic. No details of tests for these activities are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Inhibition of protein translation; Gene Therapy.
