titleOfInvention Method for evaluating biochips
abstract The invention relates to a method for evaluating spots located on biochips. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for the evaluation of biochips, which obviates the need for conventional laser scanner systems and allows quantitative evaluation in the visible light range. To this end, a method is disclosed for evaluating spots located on biochips after having carried out immunological reactions with biomacromolecules spotted on the flat supports. The method is characterized in that, after completion of the immunological reactions, the spots located on the flat support are simultaneously incubated with a medium which induces a dye-forming reaction with the immunological reaction products, the dye being recognizable in the visible light range. The method is further characterized in that the spots dyed in this manner are measured by means of an incident-light scanner operating in the visible light range and that the colour intensities obtained as grayscale values are evaluated.
