abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a carrier with a protein-containing layer applied thereon and to a carrier produced accordingly. In this case, a protein-containing layer is treated with a transglutaminase, so that it comes to the cross-linking of protein of the protein-containing layer. Among other things, this leads to a higher mechanical strength of the protein-containing layer.
