titleOfInvention | Mineral acid detection tape, its use and formula solution for impregnation thereof |
abstract | A formula solution for impregnation of a tape material to provide a detector tape for detecting mineral acids in an air stream comprises, dissolved in a solvent, a diazotization coupling agent capable of reacting with mineral acids in an air stream and with nitrite ions to form a diazonium salt, a source of nitrite ions, a further coupling agent for the diazonium salt, a pH indicator, a pH buffer material and, preferably, a stabilizer and a humectant. The resulting detector tape can have an extended life. |
