titleOfInvention | Coating composition for a label, label and method for attaching the label onto a container |
abstract | This invention relates to a method for attaching a label on a container filled with a cold product having a temperature of less than 70°C, comprising the successive steps of :n putting a heat-sealable coating on at least a part of at least one face of the label ; applying the label on the container, the coated face of the label being in contact with an outer surface of the container; providing heat at the interface between the container and the label to activate the heat-sealable coating, introducing the cold product in the container, ncharacterized in that said heat-sealable coating comprises a polymer selected from the group consisting of ethylene-vinylacetate EVA (met)acrylic polymers, and mixtures of these copolymers, and in that said heat-sealable coating contains from 0.01% to 15% by weight of paraffin, based on the total weight of the coating.n The invention also relates to labelled containers obtainable by this method, labels used in the method and compositions for putting a heat-sealable coating on such labels. |
