abstract The present invention has an object to provide anfluorine-containing compound which can be used for applicationsnsuch as additives making a transparent resin material low inna water absorbing ratio and high in water repellency withoutndeteriorating of various properties such as transparency whichnthe transparent resin material has, a fluorine-containing esterncompound which is superior in properties such as heat resistancenand low moisture (water) absorption property and can be suitablynused in various fields such as a material for electronicninformation, a material for precision instruments and an opticalnmaterial, a fluorine-containing aryl ester polymer, methods ofnproducing the same. The present invention provides anfluorine-containing compound represented by the followingnformula (1):n n, in the formula, X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom;nRf represents a fluorine-containing alkyl group having 4 or morencarbon atoms; r represents the number of Rf-X- groups bondednto an aromatic ring and is an integer of 1 or more; s representsnthe number of fluorine atoms bonded to an aromatic ring and isnan integer of 1 or more; and r+s is an integer of 2 to 5.
